The Ndakaini Half Marathon is all inclusive and brings together persons of all ages and walks of life. There is something for everyone, young and old, male and female, individuals and corporates!
The Ndakaini Half Marathon is an initiative by the Ndakaini Dam Environmental Conservation Association (NDEKA) which is a Community Based Organization (CBO) in Murang’a County.
Established in 2003, the Ndakaini Half Marathon aimed at conserving the Ndakaini water catchment area which feeds over three million residents on Nairobi, Kenya’s Capital City.
As a flagship project of the association, the half marathon was traditional held annually in the second Saturday of September in Muranga County.
As of 2023, 16 Editions of the Half Marathon have been run with the last edition being held in September 2019.

Promoting environmental conservation and promoting sports in the country.
The 17th Ndakaini Half Marathon will be hosted on the 16th September 2023 in Murang’a County.
